Almost everything I have wanted to buy, especially textbooks, has been at least 30% higher in price on Amazon. In most cases, it is double. You can do the same on ebay. Simply buy from people who accept returns. It's all about who you buy from. That is up to the buyer.

I thought I had it figured out after two days, too---but then I kept finding more things. After about a month and a half I finally stopped learning something/some place new every day.

My goodness. I'm aquatic-oriented too! I do mostly low-order streams and wetlands, and the invertebrates and fish that live therein. I've done work with plants as well, but secondary to the invertebrates and fish.

The others reading our exchanges must be rolling their eyes.

If you're saying the more supplies, the more good that can be done for schools then yes, I understand. However, I am of the opinion that the hidden costs negate the benefit.

ebay requires you to win the auction and sometimes you end up in a bidding war paying way over the amazon price

you can look at the amazon warehouse deals and used products for cheaper items

I've gotten textbooks for super cheap off Amazon. But honestly, I don't end up shopping from anywhere on the internet but here very often, so really it's kinda moot lol

With respect to review pages, again---if you check out the screenshots that MeliPixie created, it would be possible to both hilight the two 'most helpful' reviews that is the feature of the new system, but then still put the bylines and authors of the other available reviews on the page too.

No! The body is very flexible and that shape sort of goes in on itself once inserted.

Yeah, the firs job I had when I got out of school was at the Knouse Foods factory. Apple Juice for example, one day we were filling Knouse Foods bottles, the next day HiC bottles, the next day generic bottles... and it was the exact same juice from the exact same place. I know not everything works this way... but a lot of times it does.

Again, it's all up the buyer. I don't allow that to happen. You can also do buy it now. I look at other sites and never bid over the next cheapest price.

I tried to tell her. She is in her 60s and once she has something in her head, you can't change her mind. I have half a mind to get it anyway and have it for her when she arrives here, next month.

Amazon Prime having come up, has EF ever considered becoming part of the ShopRunner network?

Pff. So what if they roll their eyes? Science is awesome. I really miss working with animals... but I work at a university and the people who study animals here.. tend to do what I consider pretty unethical things (although nothing so terrible as the crap they do to primates in LA). So, they welcomed me into the plant labs. I basically had NO experience with plants before coming to work here, and I still have a terrible "brown thumb".
