Personally, I've NEVER been to a toy party. BUT I've been to plenty of jewelry, Pampered Chef, candle, stationary parties to know what the reason that people are there for: Their friend BEGGED them to come (and buy stuff) so they'd have enough people to get their discounts, bla bla bla... and this would have (in my proposal it did) some of the same incentives for people attending... but host discounts would have NOTHING to do with how MUCH people spent at the party.
The affiliate, at the end of the night, would hand out a pamphlet that would have their store's website address and their affiliate code, so they would get their commission for their presentation BUT guests would not feel obligated to pick something out right away. I mean, NO ONE wants to be rushed into a sex toy... and what if the guest already has 24 dildos and 17 vibrators (and somehow MIRACULOUSLY not part of THIS community), but wanted to instead purchase a whip or other bondage gear, but doesn't want everyone in their office knowing how she likes to play?
I just really like the idea of education more so than sales being the prime objective... and this was confirmed to me as I was reading a blog yesterday and every toy they recommended for anal was made of jelly or rubber or even PVC! People DO NOT understand about materials...
Nor do they understand about proper anal preparation. Oral sex techniques. I had a friend confide in me that she and her husband of 7 years have never performed oral on each other and they never even THOUGHT to try it!
So now that I've made a text wall... I'll shut up, but that's my idea in a very small nutshell.

I have posted in the forums about the idea of hosting EF parties and have seen others post about them as well. It would be super cool. The Fantasy parties I have been to are horrible. They push jelly and rubber toys and give no education on material safety or care and maintenance. I think these parties are a great idea to educate people on safety in all areas of sex play and toy use. I would love to educate people and open their eyes to all the benefits of different types of stimulation. For instance, I know women who STILL do not know where the g-spot is, and have never had an orgasm from anything but clitoral stimulation. Also, men who do not know about the p-spot or still feel ashamed about using toys in general. Not to mention the fact that they don't know about their partners potential spots and how to go about finding them.
Also, the parties I have been to usually cater only to straight women. I not only want to bring include men, but my gay and bi friends of both genders as well. There is so much I want to share!
I have lots of ideas on this and can't wait to host a party. I had been planning on doing it anyway on my own, just showing people the site, showing off my toys, talking, educating, and demonstrating. I already do these things to my friends whenever I get the chance, but it would be fun to get us all together and have a naughty party.
