Any background comments/stories/recom mendations are welcome!

I forgot to select blindfold. I'd say, first cuffs and blindfold, then a light whip. Have fun!

romandraws
Depends on what you're more curious about. I started with cheapo handcuffs (and rough play). Blindfolds are a good starting point, too. Honestly, pick what is most appealing, make sure you and your partner know how to get out of them safely and swiftly. Have fun! =)

I love starting out with just some plain rope and went from there!

leather cuffs that are chained together, a blindfold, and a riding crop.

Out of all of them bondage tape is probably the easiest to use. Just ot be on the safe side keep a pair of EMT shears nearby whenever you're doing bondage (well, unless you're using metal).

I think the best way is to try what's already in your closet (ties and blindfolds with shirts, etc) to see if you like it. Once you know you like it - restraints and light impact play !

A typical neck tie is the best place to start. You can use it as fabric cuffs.
