The only time that I would pick something synthetic over leather is when it comes to ultrasuede. I love that stuff even more than I love leather (which is quite a lot).

Yes, this exactly! If there was a way to get cruelty-free leather, say, from cows who died naturally or who at least lived and died humanely, I would pay the extra money for it. Otherwise, I will no longer purchase genuine leather products. I know too much!
