The harness should ride low and be stable. I use the Aslan Jaguar or the Spare Parts Jock. The Leo dil works, has a flat wide base and hits my clit perfectly.

I second Liz2 advice on low and stable. I've had good luck with my Mia-Z harness from Outlaw Leather. All of the Outlaw harnesses are designed to hold two dildos--one for him and one for you. They also hold the external dildo low on the body so you get clit stimulation from the base as well as stimulation from the internal dildo.

Oh, and I also own a Fun Factory Share. It's pretty new, and I haven't quite mastered it, but so far I really like the way it feels. There are posts on the forum on this but a winning position for me is standing on the floor with my partner lying on his back with his knees close to his chest. Also with my partner, standing, leaning over the side of a sofa. ( A sofa isn't alwys conviently available for us) Both positions give me stability and power for thrusting. I had him on his hands and knees and I mounted him from behind. He found that to be easier for him to handle than him lying on his back.
