I just couldn't being myself to do it.
Would you try piercing play?
01/18/2012
I'd be willing to try it but the question is finding a person situation I'd be willing to do it with/in.
01/19/2012
Definitely not something for me! Anything that leaves marks (bruises don't count XD) or does arguably permanent damage/draws blood is a no no for me.

I was fortunate enough to be introduced to piercing play by an amazing playmate who had been doing it for years. It definitely brings playtime to a whole new level. Though I don't incorporate it as a part of my regular play, it is on the list of things I enjoy and is a special treat when with someone I trust.

Needles freak me out.
01/26/2012
I have considered doing this before. My ex got into piercings and pierced his own ear and nipple and it was a huge turn on.
01/26/2012
I'm not sure if I would or not.

As far as I'm concerned it's a hard limit for me unless conditions are perfect and I knew it'd make the person happy. @_@

Probably if they are experienced enough. I really want my inner labia pierced. The fact that I'd need to pay over $100 to get it done at a studeo makes me wince even more.
01/30/2012
I've been pierced by many a stoned, drunk "professional" piercers, plus I like it when my gf cuts me. I can't see any reason why I wouldn't let her do it with a little training and practice on pig flesh first.

I feel I should add that if you are going to do this you should know what you are doing. If done incorrectly, you could get an infection, hit a vein, and a number of other things.
To quote Wikipedia: "Play piercing should always be carried out using new sterile hypodermic needles or acupuncture needles, and preferably on skin which has been cleaned with an antiseptic such as alcohol or povidone iodine (which is a potential allergen), by people who have been properly trained. Improper technique can result in the transmission of bloodborne diseases (due to needlestick injuries, for example) or puncture wounds, but if done correctly there is far less danger of injury or infection than from being scratched by a cat due to the depth of insertion being controlled and the use of a sterilized needle."

I get incredibly nervous when I see needles, so unless my lover was a pro piercer or a Dr., (which would still be nerve wracking for me) I probably wouldn't do it.

No thanks, I don't have any interest in it.

Does not sound appealing, and no I would not try it. I do not like to see blood and it is a huge turn-off, in addition to a cause for concern for me. I would think about infections, sterilizing, bandages, before anything else if I see blood.

It seems like a lot of people here aren't particularly educated in the ins and outs of play-piercing, and are nervous or afraid of it. I mean really, the comment about water pouring out of your body? even if it was posted facetiously, let's get real.
For those of you that have allergies to metals, piercing needles are made out of 100% surgical, implant-grade surgical steel. The stuff they make fake hips and bone pins out of. It is EXTREMELY rare that this type of stainless steel causes reaction. The size of the needles often range in size from 18g to 30g. the larger the number, the smaller the gauge of the needle. 30g needles are incredibly small, and are often used for insulin injection. 18g needles are normally used for specific types of IVs, medically. But this is rare.
The needles used are 1-time use and easily disposable. They come sterile, and individually packaged.
For those interested in experimenting with play piercing, there are kits available that start you with various sizes of needles, gloves, antiseptics, and the like.
The piercings themselves are temporary, passing only through the skin. Damage can be done, but the risk is pretty minimal in most areas, like thighs, arms, chest, and back. There's a lot of information on-line and in books, far more than i could talk about here.
But really, it's a lot of fun. It's sensation-play, and can be light to extreme. If you're interested, research and do it!

I already have. It was pretty awesome. I'm not interested in permanent piercing, but temporary is really fun.

not for us
02/05/2012
not for me
02/06/2012
Couldn't even if I wanted to, fear of needles, automatic passing would occur, quickly!!!
02/07/2012
No because as dks210, I'd rather have a professional do it in a sterile environment.

I actually have a friend/Mistress who is a professional piercing artist who will be piercing my nipples during a bondage scene.
We also plan on doing some temporary piercing (on my back with the needles decorated in face rosebuds, ribbons, baby's breath, and pearls) for some photography.
I honestly don't think I would trust anyone else to do this, not even my husband/Master. The fact that Mistress Fenreya pierces people for a living and is the head piercing artist at her studio is what recommends her to me (and she's don't all my ear and facial piercings so far).

Not my thing

I really want to but my partner is creeped out by the idea. =/

So...there seems to be more than one type of discussion going on in this thread. There's having parts of your body pierced for jewelry-wearing purposes, and then there's "play piercing," temporary surface-to-surface skin piercing with hypodermic needles. *Definitely* go to a class/workshop for the latter. A decent how-to manual is "Play Piercing" by Deborah Addington, though she's really into blood fetishism, which I think is harder to take than the idea of needles.
02/11/2012
No, I don't even have my ears pierced because I can't stand the thought of a hole in my skin.
03/23/2012
No blood for me! It is a trigger for my depression, and self harm
03/23/2012
no no no no no no no no i have p.t.s.d. because when i was 3 they thought i was diabetic and i wouldnt let them take blood so while my parents were in another room talking to the doctor five nurses were chaseing me and eventually held and straped me down to take blood ever since i am terrified of needles
03/26/2012
I cringe at the thought.
