Cuffs imo. Get her a pair of quick-release cuffs ( furry or not ) so she'll feel comfortable with them even if you lose the keys. Rope is more of a 'committing' thing unless you want to cut it off her if she starts freaking out, and that, imo, is wasting money.

Looks like my OnlyMaster didn't comment on this - well, if you ask me, I do say that rope is the ultimate binding item, especially because of the art of shibari (called kinkabu), but for a beginner cuffs are easier to use, you can just check out without anything else needed how it feels to be bound, though if you love to experiment then ropes are definitely for you! ^^
