First impressions: I’ve noticed Doc Johnson generally packages their sex toys in appealing, clear packaging which openly displays whatever is inside; the Dial-A-Dream #46 is no different. The packaging is a clear plastic box is colorfully decorated, and is not intimidating; much like the toy itself. Upon taking it out of the box, I found the toy itself to be very cute and inviting. The silicone material of the sex toy was very pleasant smelling (unlike many toys that have a rubbery “sex toy” smell), very smooth, and very flexible. The toy itself wasn’t particularly heavy, but had a pleasing weight to it. The rows of bumps on the tip were quite prominent, but did not seem daunting. Review: As a dildo, this sex toy does exactly what it’s designed to do (stimulate the g-spot); it does this very quickly and with very little effort. As a vibrator though, I found the vibration even on the lowest setting was still a real shock to the system, and it made me jump quite a few times. I joked that the highest setting could “chip teeth”. I personally couldn’t stand using it on any of the higher settings. There didn’t seem to be a very smooth transition between the settings, despite using the dial to select them. The dial itself was designed to be turned with the pad of the thumb, but gave some resistance when I tried to turn it. The silicone material itself was smooth and very easy to clean. However, the silicone was a little bit tacky, and tended to easily pick up bits of dust, dirt, and hair. When storing this toy, I would suggest after cleaning it be stored in a zipper-seal bag in order to protect it from dust and hair until its next use. I did take this adult toy into the shower with me and experienced no problems, but I would suggest not completely immersing the toy in water (i.e. when taking a bath). When installing the batteries into the battery compartment, I noticed the layout for battery placement wasn’t clearly marked inside. Generally, inspecting the inside of a battery compartment can help one easily determine which way the batteries are supposed to face; but looking inside the toy’s battery compartment, it appeared to have two “negative” connectors inside the shaft, and two “positive” connectors inside the battery compartment cap. Needless to say, I had to try several different combinations to make sure the batteries were installed correctly. Also, replacing the cap on the battery compartment either too loosely or too tightly can cause the connectors to not properly align with the batteries; you may have to play with it a little bit. I tried to screw the cap back on as tightly as I could in order to maintain the waterproof seal on the battery compartment. A few times while using it, the connectors lost connection and the toy suddenly turned off. Final Thoughts: I highly recommend Dial-A-Dream #46 as a “beginner’s” g-spot toy for those women who are curious about finding the g-spot and experiencing g-spot orgasm. I would recommend this as a vibrator, though only to those who enjoy a very strong vibration from their toys. All in all, I really enjoyed this toy and I was impressed by how quickly and easily it stimulated my g-spot.
