Guess who's back. Back again. o.b.'s back. Tell some friends.
In November, o.b. Ultra tampons seemed to disappear from store shelves due in part to... Well... Nobody knows! Even The New York Times was stumped, and quoted an email from Bonnie Jacobs, a spokesperson from McNeil-PPC, a unit of Johnson & Johnson (the company who makes o.b. tampons), which only said that o.b. had experienced a temporary interruption of service... Excuse us. A temporary “supply interruption” which caused “some stores” to be out of stock.
“We are working hard to bring supply back in line with demand and expect these stores to be restocked soon. We apologize to o.b. customers who may have been inconvenienced.” Jacobs said. o.b. has yet to comment on what caused the o.b. Ultras to vanish. But just like magic, they're back!
Customers visiting o.b.'s website will find the following message waiting for them: "To our valued customers: o.b.® tampons are now shipping. There may be a delay of a few days or weeks to reach your area, but we are working with retailers across the country to restock store shelves as soon as possible. Please refer back here for additional updates."
