Okay, guys, we know how attached to your prostates you are. And who could blame you? The prostate plays a large role in orgasms. Orgasms are nice.
So we figure there's not a whole lot worse, for a guy, than losing the prostate. It's gotta be right up there with losing an eye, or a limb. It's certainly not like losing your gallbladder, or your tonsils, which you don't really need, anyway. But what about having the surgery performed by a malfunctioning robot, only to have it perforate your colon, and get your body's waste systems all mixed up? Yeah, that's probably worse.
Thomas Dulski got to find out what that was like. While on his way home from the hospital, he realized he probably wasn't ready to be released. In a court document, he said, "I started defecating out of my penis and releasing gas through the penis. I kind of panicked at that point."
We can't imagine why.
Unsurprisingly, Mr. Dulski is suing Intuitive Surgical, the manufacturer of the robot, for negligence and product liability. He says the machine never should have been used, since it had been in for repairs 21 times. But we're wondering how the surgeon didn't catch the perforated colon when he switched to open surgery.
