Ah, gun play. A fetish not for the faint of heart. And one a person should be particularly careful about. Like, say, making sure the weapon's not loaded beforehand?
Poor 23-year-old Arthur Sedille of Oklahoma City. If only someone had told him that sooner.
On Dec. 21st, a frantic Sedille called 911 to report the shooting death of his wife, 50-year-old Rebecca. The catch? Sedille did the shooting himself.
When police arrived on the scene, Sedille told them it was an accident ... and that gun play had been a regular part of their sex life, but they never played with a loaded gun. So he didn't check the gun, expecting it to be empty, and when he pulled the trigger, the gun went off, killing his wife.
Sedille is still being held in police custody on suspicion of first degree murder, but has not yet been formally charged. While the court signed off on an arrest warrant, and the district attorney seems ready to go, police still aren't sure, exactly, what happened that night.
This reporter finds herself wondering why there were bullets in the gun at all if they never played with it loaded. It'll be interesting to see how this story plays out.
