Tomorrow night premieres a new show on TLC that's right up the alley of big, beautiful fashionistas and their supporters. The show's called “Big Sexy,” and with it the producers are trying to open the world's eyes to the injustices fat people face every day.
“Once you go big, you never go twig,” cast members agree, as they head out on the town for a boy hunt. They share booty jeans, and plan last-minute BBW (big beautiful women) fashion shows. They tell bouncers just where to stick it when they're asked for $30 for admittance after scads of thin people are let in for free. And they're completely repulsed by "thunder thigh" competitions where other rubenesque lovelies challenged each other to see who has the most jiggly thighs. Or at least that's what we gleaned from the videos.
The Vancouver Sun calls the ladies' booty and boobie talk “raunchy,” which gives them extra cool points in our book. And some people are calling them “thin haters.” But they say they just want the world to understand and accept that they're happy with their size.
