I don’t live in a Jewish community, I only lived in a community once in my life. I wasn't raised Jewish. I didn't even know I was Jewish until my daughter was born. Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon for grandchildren of Jewish immigrants to not know their heritage. After years of persecution and then the concentration camps, many Jewish families changed their names and their identities. My family was one of these. Finding out our history was a shock, to say the least; but it saved my life.

There's a lot of confusion surrounding the use of contraceptives and whether or not it's a sin. In this article, I discuss, as a Christian female, my own understanding of what the bible says about the use of contraceptives. I've focused on the popular beliefs about birth control, and brought up a few points or "arguments" of my own.

For thousands of years this ritual act of Judaism has been passed down from mother to daughter. However, if you dare to ask a Jewish wife about her mikvah experience, she will often walk away. These moments are very private and never shared openly. Therefore, for the purpose of this article, names and some places have been changed to protect those I spoke to about their experience.

Although, it is a natural process of the body, the topic of a woman’s period is often off limits. In this day and age, with sex education in school, sexuality in virtually all television programs, all the progress in women’s rights, why are women still plagued by the old age stigma of being “unclean” or “dirty” during their ?time of the month'?
