Were you hoping to register a .XXX domain? Well, you’d better be ready! Companies like Really Useful Ltd. are already lining up to snatch up as many domains as they believe they can build successful porn sites on.

“We closed the Founders program on Sunday and obviously some of the early founders are excited to get their new .XXX sites live as soon as possible,” ICM Registry’s Greg Dumas told AVN. “It's great to see some new high-quality sites on the new .xxx real estate using domains that haven't been used for adult in .com such as Casting.xxx. These webmasters have clearly spotted some great opportunities for new revenues in .xxx. We look forward to more new and exciting .xxx sites coming online ahead of our official launch on Sept. 7.”

Casting.xxx is registered to a company called Really Useful Ltd. General availability for .xxx domain names is scheduled for December.

ICM says domains will be divvied out on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning with their founders, of which there are expected to be 50. Casting.xxx, a hardcore amateur porn site from Europe, is already live a full four months before general release.

ICM's main opponent, the California porn trade group Free Speech Coalition, remains against the .xxx extension. The FSC has called for a boycott of .xxx domains, using the slogan “.XXX is bullshit!”
