If you like penises, and we know a lot of people do, what could be better than being able to see a representation of one big enough to show up from space? Well, plenty of things could be better, now that we think of it, but never mind. We’re still pretty amused by the latest Google Maps prank, courtesy of students at Fairfield College in New Zealand.
The kids killed some grass in penis-shaped patterns, two years ago, in several areas of the campus. Acting principal Gerhard van Dyk (we are not making up this name, we swear) said he would like to have caught the culprits, but it happened on a weekend. The college caretaker used some more weedkiller and tried to camouflage the artwork, van Dyk told stuff.co.nz, but it was some months before the big, big penises were no longer part of the Fairfield landscape.
But thanks to Google Maps, the prank lives on, two years later. Google doesn’t know when it’ll get around to updating the satellite imagery.
