A lot of people make New Year’s Eve plans weeks or even months in advance, right? For couples, it’s like another Valentine’s Day. Just try to get reservations to that great restaurant if you’re starting now, and good luck.

But the whole planning-ahead thing clearly isn’t for everyone. A third of those responding to an online survey by Wet International say they’re more likely to have a one-night stand on Dec. 31 than on any other night of the year.

That doesn’t mean they’re all going to do it, of course. But isn’t it fun to know what everyone else in the bar is thinking? Wet says 55 percent of those responding to the survey were men and 45 percent were women.

Other tidbits from the survey:

• More than half of respondents (57 percent) have sneaked away at a holiday gathering for a quickie.
• Nearly two-thirds of respondents (65 percent) have given sex as a holiday present.

We’re going to keep a closer eye on folks at our holiday gatherings … and if you didn’t remember to get us a present? No problem. You’ll think of something, right?
