So when exactly is it that people get over the high-school “I don't like you so I'm going to ruin your reputation” pettiness that plagues some of us? Eighteen? Twenty-one?
For a Florida woman named Natasha Larson the answer is “sometime after age thirty-five.” At least, we hope it was just a reputation she was trying to ruin.
Larson, who runs a daycare in Sarasota, put up personal ads on Craigslist pretending to be a Tracy Wilder —and asking for domination and kinky sex—because ... well, all we know is that the real Tracy Wilder used to be married to Lawson's husband. And we're sitting here wondering “What the fuck?” We thought writing phone numbers on bathroom stalls with suggestive phrases like “For a good time, call: 867-5309” was sleazy. Now offenders apparently cultivate entire relationships with the people they're turning on their prey.
“These men were calling, texting and sending pornographic picture messages to me,” Wilder said. “So, not only did she endanger my life and safety by sending these strange men to my home, but she endangered her husband's children as well.”
No kidding!
One of the men Larson-posing-as-Wilder was talking to took the emails to the police. Police traced the IP address, arrested Wilder and charged her with felony identity theft.
