The legal coordinator for Atheists of Florida, Ellenbeth Wachs, has been arrested for the second time this year. The first arrest warrant alleges that Wachs posed as a lawyer. The second alleges that she faked an orgasm. But it's not the fake moans that have her in hot water so much as who the performance was for. Wachs is charged with simulating a sex act in the presence of a child.
The story goes that Wachs was trying to sleep when Otto Lehman's 10-year-old son decided to play basketball outside her window. She yelled for him to stop and he came back with his dad later. According to the complaint, Wachs began to scream “Oh John” when they got there, “over and over again and kept increasing the volume until it was a loud scream.” Then she allegedly faked an orgasm until they left.
John Liguori, Wachs's attorney, says the complaint is asinine and his client, who has multiple sclerosis, was calling to a friend for help taking her medication. Assistant State Attorney Brad Copley's just going after Wachs because of her beliefs, according to Liguori.
