A Winnipeg DJ made a resolution last December to go without sex for a year and from this CBC story and photo, our guess is that Marcel Williams gets his share - and your share, and our share - of offers. It wouldn’t have been easy. The DJ from the hip-hop station 104.7 Streetz FM vowed abstinence a year ago on December 28 and though his official alone-time he doesn’t seem to have any plans to jump back into the mix.
“A lot of people think I’m just going to be lined up on New Year’s Eve outside of some nightclub, just prowling on women, but that's not the case at all,” he told the CBC.
Williams said he learned a lot about self-respect and “It’s helped me understand the value of saving yourself for somebody else.”
Williams thought he might break his resolution at the first sign of temptation but he never did. It helped, he said, knowing that his every move was being watched online.
So, could you go without sex for a year? On purpose?

BTDT...twice, in fact! Two separate year+ abstinence streaks.
It was very much an empowering experience.
