Am I the only one?
I'm not sure when I found my first hentai but I'm pretty sure it was a book or something close to one. When I went home I browsed through the pages and read very little of it, mostly because I'm a visual kinda guy, but as I roamed the pages I stumbled upon an image of a nude female animated character. As I looked at it, my mind began to drift and think of it as a TV show or movie and create the rest of the scene for myself, seeing how boring it was. So I ended up doing the deed and not thinking twice about what I was looking at when I had finished. As the week went though I looked at it a few more times, but this time was different. I had not locked the door. So without even thinking to knock on the door, my brother walks in on me and then runs out screaming to my dad that I had my pants down doing "something bad." So an hour later after an awkward and grueling talk with my dad, he let me go but without the book, but everyone knows how teenagers can be so I found some online.
Over the years of browsing online at images of both real and animated porn, I realized that I wasn't just looking at the animated for the fun of it but also for the appreciation of the art itself. All the artists that created these drawings had different perspectives. Another bit goes by and this time I was watching some regular porn, something random with just a man and a woman having wild sex in a bed. Nothing too special, and this time on my computer and in my room. Out of nowhere my dad walks in as I'm about to do my home work and sees this movie playing. Good thing my pants weren't down. Once again he was kinda getting on my case, but this time was different I could tell because his reaction was lighter and there wasn't as much finger pointing. Afterwards he didn't take away my computer either and he just said "Don't let me catch you again" to which I replied "Please try to knock."
Now to discuss the topic. Seeing the reaction of my dad and other people over the years began to actually make me wonder. Why is it weird to look at animated porn and not the regular real stuff? Porn is in all of our lives from the time we first see even one naked woman, but why is it that when someone looks at or even prefers to see something creative people want to practically shun them or tell them it's weird? We are brought up to believe certain things are "normal" so everything else becomes taboo, and those taboo things can be everyday things to people who are more open minded. I started looking at hentai more as an art form and mentioning it a little more because I had been around it and didn't let myself be walled off from that experience. If I had mentioned it to anyone they'd give me a weird look and say "dude you look at that stuff?" After that someone would eventually pull out a porno mag and start pointing at all the female body parts that they could see with a firm finger. There is apparently a night and day difference between these two things for a lot of people and I believe it's because we have put barriers around ourselves and put a filter on what we let in our lives.
Although there is a visual difference, honestly in my opinion there is no real difference in what they really are, and that is an escape from reality. Sometimes I prefer my escapes to include things that reality can't bring to the table, not necessarily tentacles and high pitched screams but situations that couldn't normally happen to just anyone (and not just that vanilla pizza boy delivers sausage pizza to horny lady bit). So at the end of the day it's really a matter of your comfort zone and your imagination, but I'm not going to let anyone stop me from appreciating art for what it is and possibly masturbating to it.

I would not feel ashamed in the slightest. I love animated porn. It can be down right funny at times and extremly sexy on the other.
