Good and Bad of a Sexual Halloween

Good
Halloween is making money on adults too; it’s not just a kid’s holiday any more if you haven’t noticed. It’s the one day a year that you get to be someone else, anyone you want...oh the endless possibilities. If you are usually not promiscuous everyday, then maybe that’s more of a reason to let yourself go for one day. Sometimes it’s fun to be a little bad. It mostly gives couples a chance to be naughty and to play outside the normal realm. It certainly can provide excitement in the bedroom. Halloween is comparable to a masquerade party. You may be be totally unrecognizable. It’s also a good way for college kids to do something, especially when they are old enough to party but too old to trick or treat. And who doesn’t like a theme party? People should be smart enough to choose wisely what they do on that day.

Bad
I disapprove of kid’s having to see these adults or going trick or treating with adults dressed in such an inappropriate manner. Kids do not need to see dirty or half naked men and women, especially if they are going to be confused about it. Sex appeal is so commonplace today, flooding the minds of children and making them become sexually mature before they are ready. I remember my friends in elementary school bringing condoms to school and asking guys to try them on. This is very scary looking back. I feel it has become so commonplace that people don’t look at it as bad anymore. I don’t think that children should be sheltered but when sex education is lacking in extensiveness and parents are not open about these issues, children may get the wrong impression. Last week I went to go look for a costume and a woman around 30 couldn’t find a single costume that she approved of wearing. Not everyone wants to dress like a slut and yet stores don’t give customers much of a choice. I have noticed that costumes are a lot less creative and more sexual every year. Sex sells and it is obvious in stores right now! The kid’s costumes are getting skimpy as well which I find highly inappropriate! It may influence someone who wouldn’t normally dress that way and then it may lead them to do things they wouldn’t normally do. Young people are under constant pressure to be cool. I would know, I am only turning 21 this month.
