When it comes to sexual freedom, I believe that people should have every freedom about their own sex life. When I think about people having to hide that they are kinky or gay or even bisexual, it makes me a little mad. People should have the freedom to be who they are and with whomever they want. I am a bisexual female and for a while I didn’t really put any thought into it because I was a teen at the time. I guess I was kind of ashamed or something like that. Now that I’m an adult I know that I shouldn’t have hidden it. I am who I am and if someone doesn’t like it then I shouldn’t worry about it. I have gotten to the point that it’s my life and not theirs. If they don’t like it then that’s their problem, not mine.
In my personal opinion people are too closed minded about sexual freedom. Now given I don’t want my 6 year old knowing all about sex and everything that comes with it right now, but when he gets older I don’t want him scared about certain things. If he is gay or bi, I want him to know that he will be accepted for who he is not what he likes in the bedroom. Same goes for my other two children. I want the future generations to know it's ok to like what they like. I want them to know that even if they like to get kinky in bed that they need to be safe and know what they are doing. If you take a sheltered adult and throw them into something kinky, they wont know what to do with it in this day and age. I want the future generations to know how to handle a situation without getting hurt. For that to happen we need to be more open about things and not hide what is going on.
Now I’m not saying that it needs to be taught in sex education class or anything. I’m just saying that when the time comes, we need to talk to our children and let them know that if they are into being tied up that it's ok, just be safe about it. I’ve heard too many stories about kids trying to choke themselves while masturbating and dying, so I think that more people should swallow their pride or whatever is stopping them and talk openly about your children’s sexual endeavors.
The only thing that I am against is how early the school system is introducing sexual education into the schools. Kids don’t need to know how to put a condom on at ten. In my opinion that’s why there are so many younger children having children. I completely understand that a young girl gets her period early so that kind of stuff needs to be introduced, but not actual sex in the talks. When I was in fifth grade they talked to us about how our body is changing and how to care for ourselves during the transition from childhood to adulthood. Now the kids are being taught about sex and everything about it in as low as the fifth grade.
In conclusion I think that the next generation should be more open about the sexual endeavors that people are interested in. If we don’t start opening up our children or future grandchildren might get hurt or possibly even die. If we don’t educate our children on certain things, like kinky bondage stuff, bad things will happen. They won’t know how to stay safe in their sexual endeavors. So I think people should just take the time, if for nothing else than the safety of the kids, to talk to the kids who are coming into adulthood.
