Ah, Halloween. One of the very few holidays that don’t lose their fun once you become an adult. Some people may think we are ‘over-sexualizing a holiday that puts focus on children,’ but I believe Halloween festivities are for people of all ages. When you are young, you get to dress up and go trick-or-treating. When you are an adult, you get to dress up and go to parties. When you have kids, you dress up and take your kids trick-or-treating. Finally, when your kids have all grown up, you get to dress up and pass out candy. Everyone gets to participate.
To me, Halloween is not only a chance to be someone else for a night, but it is also a night where I can be sexy and confident. Sexy costumes may come across as degrading to some women, but I think they are empowering. Until recently, I wasn’t confident enough to wear a sexy costume, even though I was thin. It was a confidence issue. Now I am a curvy girl. I have just started to love myself and love my body and I now have enough confidence to wear a sexy outfit, even if only in the bedroom.
During Halloween, we get to let our fantasies come true! We can play the character we always wished we could be, or be the character our partner desires. Maid? Nurse? Cop? Anything is possible on Halloween. The holiday definitely opens up an opportunity for some role play in the bedroom.
This Halloween, pick a character you would want to be, if you had one night to be someone else. A persona that would make you feel more sexy and confident. Dress up, whether you’re planning a night out or a night in, and have fun with it! Let your fantasies run wild.
