There are too many misconceptions about the Lolita subculture. "They're ageplayers," you'll see. Here's why they're wrong.

Its 'unfair' to assume anyone into the Lolita style is into age-play, but its also 'unfair' to declare that Lolitas are by definition NOT into it. I have a Lolita dress, and am planning on buying more... Both because I enjoy the style AND because I'm into occasional age play. To me, its not about being a promiscuous young girl, but rather having an older man who I trust 'teach' me about sex. Defile and sometimes degrade my innocence and beauty. I started feeling sexual when I was very young but didn't understand it. My sexuality was overwhelming. So dressing up puts me back in the mindset of that young girl, but in a safe space where sex is appropriate and safe.

I so agree. I'm not fully Lolita, however it's been a fashion and lifestyle I've loved since I was a teenager. Every Lolita *I* personally have known dresses in Sweet Lolita because it's part of who she is, her personality, her fashion style, her life. It's never to attract men (or other women.) I am so glad you're spreading the word about what Lolita is, and isn't, in most cases.

Thanks for the information, I personally had no idea about the Lolita fetish or style of dress. I am old!!

This was an awakening for me too! I never realized there was such a misconception over this fashion. I've always dressed this way, grew up in a family environment who liked me and preferred me in this style. It's pretty, if you enjoy it, what does it matter?
