Editor's Note: Readers are familiar with Rydell and his wife Susan from previous articles, but today they're starting a new little project — trying out new toys together. We're excited they've agreed to let us join them in the bedroom as they discover what they like and dislike about some of the newest and most exciting toys offered on EdenFantasys.com
When we first pulled the Close2you Flores out of the packaging, Susan said, “Wow, this is a pretty fancy vibe!” She’s right. In a different setting — like, somewhere besides our bedroom with the lights off and the candles lit — it could probably pass for a funky nouveau piece of avant-garde art. Sure, it would elicit plenty of “isn’t it rather phallic” comments, but what good is any art gallery if there’s not something that tempts sexual awakening — not to mention pisses off at least a few of the wandering fuddy-duddies.
Of course, when it comes to sex toys, function is at least as important — probably more so — than form. And I’m happy to report that the Flores also lives up to Susan’s initial comment in this department. The slightly upturned head is designed to penetrate the vagina and (hopefully) have a direct encounter with the elusive G-spot. During that exploration, the topside “clef ornament” is perfectly positioned to directly stimulate the clitoris.
“That’s what mattered most to me,” Susan says. “The size seemed good; the length and girth, nothing obnoxious, but I definitely felt it, and I did like that the head was a bit bigger — for that initial push. All that was good, but the piece that’s meant to rub the clitoris absolutely got me in the right spot.
“Obviously, you can do that with any vibrator — turn it on and put it where it feels best — so the penetration part is important, too. The fact that this one was inside me and buzzing my clit at the same time with that extra little ‘finger’ was really exciting.”
The vibrations running through that “little finger” are what truly make the Flores stand out from other similar toys. It has eight speeds, but calling them “speeds” isn’t really doing the Flores justice. They’re actually different modes: one, two, and three are simply fast, faster, and fastest, but then it gets much more interesting. The vibration pattern printouts of modes four through eight read like an EKG chart. A steep rise followed by a sudden, drastic drop; stair steps leading to three quick pulsating bursts; full-throttle plateaus and then … nothing, until another plateau; and so on.
“Testing out the different speeds was very fun,” Susan says. “It’s so different. I’ve used vibrators before, but they’ve all pretty much been either on or off. Trying all the options this thing had was like a science experiment. I’m just not sure if I was the scientist or the subject. Both, I guess.”
Indeed. Susan was in an interesting position (read that however you’d like) because in the midst of putting the Flores through its paces, we were also discovering something about her: what sort of good vibrations would give her the best excitations. And that was a totally new experience in itself. You know, because discussing which intense vibrating pattern makes you the wettest typically isn’t one of the many conversation points at the local Friday Afternoon Club. There probably aren’t many women who can definitively answer that. (Yet. A few nights with the Flores and you’ll join the elite club who can. For the record, Susan’s favorite so far is mode eight, which is a series of intense pulsations that shorten in length until they become a string of rapid, rapturous throbs.)
“This is number five,” I’d say. “How do you like it?”
“It’s good, it’s good,” Susan would reply.
Click. Mode six: Stair step throbs and then BUZZ, BUZZ, BUZZ. Rest. Repeat.
“How about that one?”
“That feels really … GOOD … really ….”
Click.
“Eventually, I just had to take it away,” Susan laughs. “Rydell was going through each mode like a scientist, not my husband. I’d just be settling in to the rhythm, feeling how it was going to affect me, and he’d move to the next one.
“If I had the patience, it would be really cool to go through and focus on one at a time to see which one made me come the fastest or hardest. Or maybe there’s an ultimate combination, mode four and eight or whatever. The possibilities are endless.”
I admit that I was fascinated by the different settings, and probably a little too eager to try them all, but Susan’s body reactions and facial expressions really did change with each click — like she said, how they affected her. She was having a physical reaction depending on the vibration cycle. That’s interesting stuff.
Anyway, once Susan relieved me of vibrator duties we found it much easier to concentrate on Close2you’s company line, which is all about togetherness. We wanted to use the toy together, and for us, on that night, since Susan was completely enthralled with the Flores’ vaginal penetration combined with the intense clitoral stimulation, we sprinkled in some anal relations.
“That was really hot,” Susan says. “The Flores was vibrating against my clit — and by then I had just turned it to the fastest setting — and each time Rydell would push inside, he could feel it on his balls, and I could hear him feeling it. That was it. That sent me over the edge.”
It sent me over the edge, too. Every time my testicles got vibrated, along with everything else that was going on … well, let’s just say that Susan is much nicer than me: she didn’t “click” until we were both finished. Of course, now we’re looking forward to clicking on the Flores again.

I have a plan to get this. I NEED this! I love the Close2You line and I was looking at Rabbits! Your awesome article made me need it more!
Your article was really thorough, thank you! It's nice having a man and a woman's input on the toy!
Your article is wonderful! I definitely have to add this to my wish list.
