""Mitts off my Muff!""
Don't like it? Change it.
For a lot of people seeking plastic surgery, they simply want how they feel inside to match how they feel outside. How they feel inside might be a flatter stomach, a flatter nose, tits to Texas or even to become another gender. For a lot of people this is what they truly want, but for those that aren't sure what they want, surgery risks often outweigh the benefits. If you want to take your body back from the effects of age or motherhood or a little bit of both, that is a damn good reason. But what if you want to change something about your body simply because of shame? After researching vaginal plastic surgery, I started to feel that that is why a lot of women decide to go under the knife.
There are many valid medical reasons for vaginal plastic or reconstructive surgery. For women who suffer from over sensitivity, those with such large labia(lips) that it causes physical discomfort during everyday activities or those with severe damage done to do their body through trauma(typically child birth), I am immensely grateful for these medical resources. These women can improve their lives through vaginal plastic surgery. But sadly that isn't the case all around.
Some women are willing to amputate or rearrange their lady bits for the sake of beauty. It is one of the fastest growing trends in cosmetic surgery in the US and the UK, doubling in the last five years. Today you can have your hymen restored, your labia trimmed and even have your vagina “rejuvenated” back to it's youth. The most popular style is the “Barbie” look, which makes the vagina appear very smooth when there is no hair.
I took the time to interview friends, family, strangers and a even a bikini wax lady, and I have started to believe that some women are not trying to make their lady parts pretty, but rather they want their vagina to look like someone else's vagina. For the most part they really have no idea what a woman's vagina looks like in the first place. Like most people seeking cosmetic surgery, these women are looking to restore youth, to trim and tuck things away. When girls go through puberty the structures of the vulva(the entrance to the vagina) become proportionately larger, more pronounced and often times change color. The “Barbie” look is more typical for women before puberty than it is after.
The media promotes these “beautiful”, “perfect” women with measurements of 36”-24”-36” with almost mythical vagina’s that have little or no lips exposed and are virtually hairless and pink. That is not what a woman's typical vagina looks like. There is no typical vagina. Vagina's vary greatly in shape, size and color. I am not trying to degrade those women in the media or women naturally born more “neat and tidy”. My intention is to write an article bringing physical awareness to women who are not natural “Barbies”. That it is okay. Your vagina is a really cool place!
Medically speaking women can vary from less than an inch in labia lips to over two inches of extra tissue. Did you know as you get older darkening is natural? That varicose veins happen with pregnancy in most women? That it is even perfectly normal and healthy (though uncommon) for some women to appear to have a “small penis”? The small penis is actually just an enlarged clitoris. That almost all women have one side that hangs longer than the other? Some women have smooth lips and others have jagged, and that's perfectly normal as well.
Did you know that there are several risks associated with vaginal plastic surgery? Infection is, of course, a risk with any surgery, including labiaplasty. It could also take as long three months to heal! Other side effects include pain during sexual intercourse, even after the healing process. The risk of scarring brings the risk of life long pain during intercourse with it. Permanent loss of or decrease in sensation down there can occur. These risks are low and can be reduced by finding a good surgeon. The question is, “Is it worth it?” I urge anyone thinking of getting it done to ask themselves why?
Is there a reason beyond how it looks to you? Is it because you think it looks different or abnormal? Because there is a good chance there is nothing different or abnormal about it. Is it because you're ashamed to be naked? If your partner thinks your vagina looks unattractive, it's time to re-think your partner.
No two vagina's are alike. Some are big, some are small, some are tall, some are pink, some are brown, some are black, some hang low and some up high, but it's your vagina. And if it could it talk what would it say? I am certain it wouldn't want to be cut or snipped to look like any other vagina.

Fantastic article. I think this needs to be given to every woman. Dont waste your life trying to be someone else. I'd rather have a person be genuine and unique than the same old same old
