Feeling sexy is all about being confident. Maybe your self confidence has been shaken because you got out of a relationship, you had someone say something negative, or you are just having a funky day. There are a multitude of reasons why someone might be feeling not so sexy, but the good news is that there are a number of ways you can boost your self confidence. Some of these suggestions might work for anyone and some might not work for everyone, but I tried to include a variety of ideas to include a variety of people.
One of the first things to do is smile! Smiling not only makes you feel better but it makes you more approachable to other people and helps them see you more positively. Make your own rules for what sexy is and what makes someone sexy. Go out dancing with friends or sign up for a dance class. Physical activity makes you feel better and taking dancing can help you expand your social circle and gain more confidence. Try out karaoke if you are not too shy to do so. Getting together and singing on a stage can give you a nice rush of self confidence and make you feel good about yourself.
Make a list of positive things about yourself and keep it handy any time you are feeling down on yourself as a reminder of what an amazing person you are. You can also try only surrounding yourself with positive media outlets, i.e. don't watch television shows that make you feel bad about yourself or stay off Facebook if it puts you in a bad mood. If you don't feel sexy due to a weight issue then throw out your scales. You can always tell if you are gaining or losing weight by the way that your clothes fit. Another way to feel sexy is to take good care of yourself by getting enough sleep and eating well.
Find an outfit, a piece of clothing, shoes, makeup or something that makes you feel sexy when you put it on and wear it as often as possible. One of the things I did to improve my self esteem was to pose nude for a life drawing class. As someone who is plus sized, this was incredibly scary for me and right before I walked out there naked I thought I was going to pass out. I did not pass out and once the teacher started moving me into poses I forgot that I was naked. I felt better about myself when I left the class and saw the fabulous drawings that the students had made of my voluptuous body. I ended up doing more modeling for life drawing classes after that and it was a wonderful experience.
