At this session of the Human Rights Council of the U.N., Archbishop Silvano Tomasi discussed a very serious issue concerning Catholics, these days. He says the tables are beginning to turn with regard to harassment over sexuality. It seems he thinks members of the Roman Catholic Church are getting a raw deal, now that it's okay to be gay in some parts of the world.
“People are being attacked for taking positions that do not support sexual behavior between people of the same sex,” Archbishop Tomasi told this session of the Human Rights Council of the U.N. “When they express their moral beliefs or beliefs about human nature ... they are stigmatized, and worse—they are vilified, and prosecuted. These attacks are violations of fundamental human rights and cannot be justified under any circumstances.”
We agree. And neither can the attacks still being made on the LGBT community. So let's make a deal. Sign a treaty. Call a truce. You guys can keep duking it out if you wanna. But wouldn't it be better if you just agree to disagree?
That doesn't seem likely. Especially considering the rest of Tomasi's speech. He said the Vatican is against attacks on anyone based on sexual orientation, but that states should regulate certain types of sexual behavior.

I call it karma and about damn time too!
And this is why I have no respect for the Vatican. They're so damned stuck on themselves.
I can't believe this nonsense is still going on in the 21st century.
