Remember when we were kids, and we'd gather in the backyard, or under the deck, and play “Truth or Dare”? When the truths were usually pointed questions meant to find out if your crush liked you, and the dares occasionally led to our first kisses?
UbiSoft has a new party game hitting the market in Europe, and it's right up our alley. They're calling it “We Dare,” and it's marketed to adult couples comfortable enough with their relationships and their friends to have a bit of silly PG13-racy fun... with their Wii controller!
Yes, you can mime eating apples, a strip tease, and spanking your buddies in this hot new game. And it's pissing parents off, already. Huh?
Well, you see, though the commercial is obviously aimed at adults, UbiSoft labeled it for people ages 12 and older. And parents... are delusional. If you ask kids how old they were the first time they played “Truth or Dare,” we're guessing 12 is on the high side.
And hey, maybe parents are right. Maybe we don't need a game encouraging the kids? So wouldn't logic dictate parents, say, not buy it?
In any case, those of you stateside, have no fear! UbiSoft says there are no plans for this game to ever be released in the US.
Would you play? We think we would ...
