“We came, we undressed, we conquered,” is a pretty good slogan, especially because you could switch the order around depending on the event you’re describing.

The slogan belongs to Femen, a Ukranian feminist organization, which expressed its opposition to sex tourism by staging a topless protest in Kiev on Friday prior to the draw for the Euro 2012 soccer tournament. The group wants the UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) to undertake an education campaign for fans about the “unacceptability of sex tourism and financing the sex industry,” the AFP reports.

“Otherwise, Femen does not guarantee the safety of fans and soccer functionaries in Ukraine,” the group says on its website.

The protest was staged outside Olimpiisky stadium, where the women lay on the pavement with “open legs and strategically placed soccer balls, holding up banners saying “UEFA attacked our gates.”

The AFP says that Ukraine is a popular spot for “bride tours” where Western men pay to go to special group events to meet women. Weird, sad and true but doesn’t that just sound like another reality show?
