Primera Police Chief Joe Rodriguez, it seems, just happened to have five shemale images on his phone. We'll not deign to ask why. It's none of our business. What we are interested in, though, is where those images ended up.
Apparently, Chief Rodriguez shot the images off to his campaign rival, Constable Robert Lopez.
“I opened it up and said, ‘What the heck?' I said it out loud, it surprised me. And those guys that were with me, they looked at it and said, ‘Hey, Lopez, what's that, you know, do you do that stuff, or what?'” Lopez recalled.
Lopez thinks Rodriguez is laying the groundwork for a campaign smear.
“Sprint has told me these things stay 180 days in the system.” said Lopez. “That's five, six months. If I don't report this — I'm running for re-election this year, they can pull them out in February and accuse me of having stuff on my phone.”
Rodriguez, however, says Lopez is wrong. He meant to send the pictures to his cousin.
Who cares? Probably a bunch of Texans, that's who. But us? Meh. Boys will be boys. They should just maybe give the phone number they're sending things to a second look before doing it.
