Jamey Rodemeyer, the 14-year-old from Buffalo who apparently committed suicide after being bullied because he was gay, is still being bullied even now that he's buried. The police have taken notice and are investigating Jamey's case.
Jamey's sister Alyssa went to a school dance after Jamey's death to be with her friends. A Lady Gaga song came on, and friends of Jamey and Alyssa wanted to commemorate Jamey’s memory. And while people talked about what they remembered about Jamey, the kids who tormented him screamed “You're better off dead. We're glad you're dead.”
What the hell is wrong with kids these days? It makes you wonder where they pick these things up. Are their parents this hateful?
An investigation is underway into many of Jamey's schoolmates and those who joined into the bullying online, according to the Amherst Police Special Victims Unit. Jamey's attackers, including three boys in particular from his school, are facing possible charges of harassment, cyber-harassment and hate crimes.
“We’re going to be speaking to school officials and students and anyone with direct information about crimes that may have been committed against this individual,” said Police Chief John C. Askey.
Lady Gaga expressed her concern for the boy and his family on her Twitter profile.
“The past days I've spent reflecting, crying, and yelling. I have so much anger. It is hard to feel love when cruelty takes someone’s life,” Gaga tweeted. “Jamey Rodemeyer, 14 yrs old, took his life because of bullying. Bullying must become be illegal. It is a hate crime.”
Gaga says she's meeting with President Obama to discuss laws on bullying.

What's saddest to me is that none of this action was taken while he was alive.
