The buzz around the film Machete has been building, thanks to word that Lindsay Lohan and Jessica Alba make nude appearances. While early reports state that the nipples featured in the movie aren’t Lohan’s or Alba’s, Machete does sport plenty of sexy flesh and cheesy-sexy porno music every time its star, Danny Trejo, gets it on with virtually any and every female character in the film.
Reportedly, Rodriguez’s trick is to give the audience a nude scene up front—and then they’ll think for the rest of the movie that everyone is running around without clothes. “I did this in Sin City, too,” Rodriguez told MTV. “People say, ‘There's so much nudity in Sin City.’ I say, ‘No, if you look close, there’s only [some] at the very beginning.’” That’s some tricky subliminal nakedness, Rob.
In less subliminal messages, Delaware Republican and Tea Party Candidate Christine O’Donnell is drawing attention thanks to statements she made decrying the evils of…masturbation?
“The bible says that lust in your heart is committing adultery. So you can’t masturbate without lust,” O’Donnell decreed during an airing of MTV’s Sex in the ’90s. “The reason that you don’t tell [people] that masturbation is the answer to AIDS and all these other problems that come with sex outside of marriage is because, again, it is not addressing the issue.” If masturbation isn’t the answer, and abstinence-only obviously doesn’t work, then what’s the solution, Christine? Chastity belts?
Elsewhere, more free-thinking individuals have created a Choose Your Own Adventure-styled ebook/game, with options to pick paramours of opposite or similar sex. The text-based game, A Choice of Romance, can be downloaded or played on the web here, and features the reader in the starring role of a young aristocrat looking for—and finding—any kind of love they want. Apparently, at Choice of Games, the reader can also fight dragons and battle pirates, all while being accepted exactly as they are—and that means everybody wins.
