Set for a May release, the movie “3-D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy” is a tale loosely based on a classic Chinese erotic story called “The Carnal Prayer Mat,” and is said to include scenes of “orgies, swinging and some very graphic sex”—all in eyeball-popping 3D technology. Director Tinto Brass, who also brought the erotic classic Caligula to screens back in 1979, says he plans to remake his Roman tale of power and debauchery after Sex and Zen wraps production.
In less hardcore news, Hewlett-Packard CEO Mark Hurd resigned last week over allegations that he’d covered up an affair with one of his contractors—and that contractor has come forward. Turns out she’s “R-rated” actress Jodie Fisher. A Fortune 500 saleswoman, Fisher (who has appeared in such softcore B-movie classics as Body of Influence 2 and the USA late night sex-suspense show Silk Stalkings) says she’s “surprised and saddened” by Hurd’s resignation.
Speaking of sexy productions, Vanessa Hudgens has dropped her innocent High School Musical persona for a role in the Broadway play Rent, starring as the HIV positive erotic dancer Mimi.
Nude and semi-nude pictures of the twentysomething Hudgens have already surfaced on the Internet, but it’s done little to tarnish her good-girl reputation. Even in the challenging role of a homeless, drug-addicted teen, reviewers from Entertainment Weekly gush that she still brings a sense of “eyelash-batting” romanticism to the character. If someone decides to remake Pretty Woman, maybe Hudgens can try to fill Julia Roberts’ thigh-high, stiletto size nines?
