Jinkies, Mr. Morrow, why don’t you just come right out and ask? Robert Morrow, a Ron Paul supporter from Austin, Texas, is looking to undo presidential candidate and Texas governor Rick Perry in a bold-faced way. Salon reports that Morrow took out a full-page ad … complete with Star Wars typeface … that asks, “Have You Ever Had Sex With Rick Perry?” and goes on to give you all kinds of opportunities to respond: “Are you a stripper, an escort, or just a ‘young hottie’ impressed by an arrogant, entitled governor of Texas? Contact CASH, and we will help you publicize your direct dealings with a Christian-buzzwords-spouting, ‘family values’ hypocrite and fraud.”
CASH stands for the Committee Against Sexual Hypocrisy, which is actually just Mr. Morrow.
Salon makes it clear that “there there is absolutely no evidence that Perry has had extramarital affairs,” and rumors that Perry is gay were investigated by the Austin Chronicle (the paper where Morrow’s ad will run) and found to be unsubstantiated.
But this kind of aggressive targeting isn’t new ground for Morrow. Salon says “… in 2008, he paid for (and personally voiced) an anti-Hillary Clinton robocall in South Carolina that made the unsubstantiated claim that “Hillary knew about and helped cover up Bill's rape of Juanita Broaddrick.”
That’s an awful lot of “unsubstantiated” so we won’t hold our breath for a phalanx of young hotties to come forth. But then ... sigh …we never do.
