Caroline Schwitzky was recently crowned Miss Weston USA, which she hoped was going to be the first step from a little beauty contest in Florida on the path to Miss Universe. That is, until Tel-Air Productions, the company that represents the Miss Weston pageant, began receiving emails demanding she be stripped of her crown for immorality. Why?
When she was eighteen, Caroline won what she's calling a beauty pageant, but what the less-risque pageant crowd is calling a porn convention competition. “It was a beauty competition, and if you win, you get $2,000, and that was all it was, and I won. All they see is me with the title, and they say, ‘Oh, well, she's in that industry.’” she told WSVN-TV.
She posed for some revealing photos and was crowned Miss Exxxotica 2008. She says that was the extent of her affiliation with the porn industry. But that's all Tel-Air Productions needed to dump her.
“I am not this. I am not perfect,” Caroline said. “I am standing up for everyone that has been bullied, judged, girls whose dreams have been taken away because of past mistakes. I don't think that's right. I think we all deserve a second chance.”
Second chance? We're not convinced she needs a second chance, because she didn’t do anything wrong in the first place. We're back to that “What's so wrong with being a porn star?” thing.
