“As a comic, I love porn. It was my Dr. Oz, it was my Oprah that got me through a lot of tough times. I’m really more of a fan,” says Dave Attell, an American comedian who's got fans like Jon Stewart, Mike Royce and Kevin Brennan. “We’re joking on this show, this is a party. We’re hanging out with the legends who give us some tips. We have some laughs while we’re watching some great, old retro porn.”

Something you'd expect from a guy whose most famous joke goes a little something like this: “Sex is not important. What's important is that afterward part. When you're both naked and it's warm and you're watching the sun come up in the windshield. You look in her eyes, you look in her one good eye and help her strap on her leg and you know: you just fucked a pirate.”

But he's not just randomly spouting off comedy, now. He's hosting a Mystery Science Theater 3000-esque show on Showtime called Dave’s Old Porn, and his first guests are comedian Whitney Cummings and porn star Ron Jeremy.

“We watch clips of retro adult movies from the Golden Age of the early ’70s to mid ’80s and then we bring out people who were actually in the movies,” Attell says. “Stars like Ron Jeremy, Nina Hartley, Paul Thomas, Georgina Spelvin and Herschel Savage. We’ve shot a lot of people.”

He says this show has been in the development stages for four years. And he's having more fun with the girls than the guys.

“If you’ve ever watched porn with other guys, you naturally start cracking jokes because it’s so awkward. And the ladies brought it hard. They were just as funny as the dudes if not more.”

Sounds like a blast and we think we'll be checking that one out. The premiere episode airs at 11:30 p.m. tonight.
