Last week, Planned Parenthood requested an FBI investigation into a man who was traveling from clinic to clinic requesting STI testing and treatment, and information on abortions. The man claimed to be a pimp seeking health care for underage sex workers. Planned Parenthood had done a bit of their own investigating, and discovered the man was part of a sting run by LiveAction.org, an antiabortion organization.

Yesterday morning, LiveAction.org released a video of the "pimp" and a woman posing as a prostitute asking questions about getting health care for underage girls. An LPN and clinic manager is shown discussing, in length, what would trigger mandated reporting, where to get an abortion for girls fourteen and under.

"The behavior of our employee, as portrayed on the video, if accurate, violates PPCNJ policies as well as our core values of protecting the welfare of minors and complying with the law," Planned Parenthood of Central New Jersey CEO Phyllis Kinsler said in a statement. She went on to say appropriate action was being taken to investigate the incident.

By this morning, Woodruff had been fired.

Yes, these sting efforts are pretty reprehensible and sleazy. And we're big supporters of Planned Parenthood and everything they do for women. But that doesn't mean we're not exasperated and disappointed. Amy, we'd like to hear your side, if you have one, because this really does look bad.
