The anti-abortion group Live Action is at it again. Today they released the second in a series of videos meant to discredit Planned Parenthood. This time, the footage is from a PP in Richmond, Va.
Live Action, of course, is shaking their collective fist claiming they got PP again, but the video is not nearly as damning as the group's first release which led to the firing of a PP worker in New Jersey. Planned Parenthood spokesman Stuart Schear said, "The Planned Parenthood staff member reacted professionally to a highly unusual person posing as a patient. After the encounter, the staff member immediately notified her supervisor, who subsequently notified members of Planned Parenthood's national security team, who are working with the FBI, which is investigating these visits."
And indeed, she seemed to behave as PP supporters have come to expect from their beloved clinic of choice. Rather than advising the “sex workers” on ways to circumvent the law, she simply stated their legal right to privacy.
She did discuss a "judicial bypass" in which a teenage girl could get permission from a judge, rather than her parents, to get an abortion. ABC contacted a lawyer who told them this is in complete compliance with the law.
Live Action—if this is all you've got, it's fine with us if you get off the stage and end the bizarre stalker behavior. Planned Parenthood does great work. You've wasted their time and now you're wasting ours.
