Don't worry, folks. Possible future Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain's got this Planned Parenthood situation on lock. If he's got anything to say about it (and good lord, let's hope he doesn't!), the de-funding of Planned Parenthood will go through without a bit of hassle. And why?
“You probably don’t hear a lot of people talking about this,” says Cain. “When Margaret Sanger—check my history—started Planned Parenthood, the objective was to put these centers in primarily black communities so they could help kill black babies before they came into the world. It's planned genocide.”
So a woman's not allowed a choice because of the color of her skin? Now, where have we heard that before? Oh right! That sleazy anti-abortion group that used the picture of that adorable black girl to put out the message that a black woman's womb is the most dangerous place for a baby.
If you want to check Cain’s history of Sanger, by the way, a decent place to start is the Wikipedia article about her. She had some controversial views that, to us, have no relevance to what Planned Parenthood is today. Cain’s own history? He’s African American and the former CEO of Godfather's Pizza; he’s a columnist, author, talk-radio host, and a Tea Party kind of guy.
Along with de-funding Planned Parenthood, Cain also wants to “fix” the Federal Reserve and overturn “Obamacare.” How awesome is he?
We're giving our vote to the other guy. Whomever that may be.
