We're sure you've heard of the Vagina Monologues, but just in case you haven't, let us explain them to you. It started in the Off Broadway Westside Theatre, and starred Eve Ensler, an American playwright, performer, feminist and activist. These days it's a whole movement called VDay, and over $75 million has been raised to aid women's anti-violence groups.
This year, on Feb. 14th, Occidental College in Los Angeles, will hold the first ever Penis Chronicles. In an effort to encourage more male involvement in this movement against violence, men and women will be on stage discussing male issues, and a few all-male music groups will perform.
The regular Vagina Monologues held at the college will be performed on Feb. 18th. The Penis Chronicles is, well, foreplay.
Proceeds from the show goes toward supporting women's rights in a different country each year. This year, they're going to Haiti.
