“You see it from time to time, but less so as a political statement and more as part of a drunken stupor.” Oh, how many things could we say that about? In this case, though, it’s women going topless in an Asheville, South Carolina park this Sunday to protest that their breasts have to be covered up while men’s do not.
It’s not a crime, actually, police department spokesman Wally Welch told the Citizen-Times (he also gave the quote above). “They can breast away,” he said.
Watch for them breasting away in all these cities: GoTopless.org says Aug. 21 is National GoTopless Day, and ladies all over America are encouraged to go for it ... while men are asked to cover their chests “in the name of equal rights.” (Female toplessness is legal in New York City; Washington, D.C.; Austin, Texas; Asheville; and Portland, Ore.)
This is the fourth year of the GoTopless event (which is on Aug. 28 in Canada).
In a peculiar twist, GoTopless.org is sponsored by The Raelians whose philosophy “states that life on Earth was the result of scientific creation by the Elohim, an advanced, extraterrestrial human civilization mistaken for gods in the Bible,” and with that as the foundation “how can the human body, a masterpiece, be perceived with shame?”
See that? The boobies were fun and this whole Chariots-of-the-Gods angle was the icing on the boobie cake!
Who’s luckier than you? Nobody.
