And here’s another one from Mississippi: Booty Drop, a website that allows students to blog about their sexual experiences and readers to vote thumbs-up or -down on the stories, has recently come to the University of Mississippi campus, reports Tennessee news station WREG.
The students who came up with it were from Indiana University and the University of Maryland and, the station says, the site is becoming popular “around the country.”
The Ole Miss students interviewed for their thoughts on the site voiced various opinions, with one emphatically noting that it was “repulsive” and “it’s so unreliable that it can ruin a reputation and not even be accurate.”
An interesting point, though, according to the Booty Drop FAQ page: “… we are attempting to create an atmosphere where people can share funny stories without trashing other people’s reputations. To avoid this we will not post a story if someone involve in it is easily identifiable from the content. First names are acceptable if the story does not identify someone specifically.”
Maybe … but we wonder. It’s all fun and games until someone loses their privacy.
The few stories we read (three) seem like regular tacky drunk college stuff that gave us hangover queasiness from just reading them. But alas, everyone loves gossip and dirty stories, so it may catch on. Penthouse Forum did.
Everyone, say it with us: “I never thought it would happen to me but….”
