Miley Cyrus wants everyone to know she's not a Good Girl Gone Bad. Eighteen year olds just experiment. Sex, drugs and and rock 'n roll! And hey, we're right there with her. A girl can't be a teenie-bopper undercover rock star forever. Life must go on. Disney must feast on new innocent minds.
And Miley's not telling us anything we don't already know. She's complaining about the same things all the Mouseketeers of Christmas past have complained about since the beginning of Walt Disney's empire.
“People see me as this perfect Disney star, and the moment I put out a record that says 'I'm not 11 years old anymore,' people look down on me. Every 18-year-old explores sexuality and experiments and tries things,” she says in the September issue of Prestige magazine. “For me there's no reason to change that. You have to be true to yourself.”
But what about her antics with salvia and sexy photos?
When she saw her new(ish) reputation, Miley “was like, 'What the hell, man?' I stay in the house pretty much every day. I don't go out,” she tells Prestige. “I've had the same boyfriend [Liam Hemsworth] for two years.”
Here, here. Leave the girl alone. Unless we really want to watch her follow in the footsteps of Mouseketeers.
