Don't make promises you can't keep, folks. It will come back to bite you in the ass.
Take this New Jersey mayor, for example. His name's Chris Myers and he's a Republican. And he was the mayor of a little town called Medford in a state that has been okay with its governor saying he would veto any law passed allowing same-sex marriage. But then he (allegedly) had relations with a male prostitute in Newport Beach, Calif.
Normally, this wouldn't be an issue, but you know, we just can't have our politicians being gay. And infidelity is a death sentence to anyone but Joe Citizen.
Unfortunately for Myers, he managed to piss off the prostitute, who said Myers promised him a car and other gifts. The anonymous fella posted pictures of Myers in his underwear on the Internet. The site was quickly taken down, but not before it was noticed and made the news.
“I deny the allegations,” Myers told reporters when the news broke. “Anyone can do what they want anonymously on the Internet.”
And isn't that just the truth. Hell, one of our very own writers convincingly Photoshops her face on other people's bodies.
The anonymous picture poster said Myers was polite and paid him the $500 he was owed. But then he made promises of a new car and gifts and didn't follow through. So he figured he'd get his money by telling the world about the mayor's bedroom activities?
Unfortunately for the prostitute and Myers' family, there won't be a new car or gifts for anyone! Myers resigned as mayor and has been suspended indefinitely from his job as a vice president of Lockheed Martin Corp. Nothing like ruining a man's life in one fell swoop over something that is no one's business but his and his family's.

To his credit though Mayor Myers did pony up his hooker’s consultation fee of $500. Which is to say Mr Myers is not completely bereft of integrity. Then again why should one be the wiser what Mayor Myers does in his closet if it wasn't affecting how public policy was getting done, assuming one gets over the hurdle of Mayor Myers being other than what he has strenuously campaigned he was- a straight family man shooter.
But let's all admit those low hung Calvin Klein underwear pants did look good on Mayor Chris Myers...
