Lady Gaga is speaking out in defense of gay and lesbian soldiers in the military by holding a rally today in Maine, urging senators to knock down the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy.
There’s still a Republican filibuster blocking the bill to repeal, with supporters saying that currently 60 votes are needed to overcome the tactic and move the bill through the senate. In response to the urgency, Lady Gaga has also posted a YouTube video appealing] to elected officials, calling the policy a “most serious prejudice” and asking public officials to “do your job … protect the Constitution.”
Miss Gaga will be joined by gay and straight military veterans at Deering Oaks Park in Portland, Maine, to raise their voices in the interest of everyone’s freedom.

In a feat of endurance that must rival many triathlons, two New Jerseyans have set the world record for longest kiss, by lip-locking on foot for 33 hours straight.
Matty Daley and Bobby Canciello went through rigorous cleansing and nutritional training in order to perform their tonsil hockey for over a day straight without sleep or bathroom breaks, saying that their goal was to “queer the Guinness World Records.” The two collegians are reportedly not lovers, but just friends—Bobby got permission from his boyfriend to engage in the live-streamed, marathon make-out session beforehand. Fashion Week happens all around the world, and while the stateside designer expo has naked protesters, over in London they’ve got a naked catwalk. Designer Charlie Le Mindu showed off a stunning collection of hats, bags and shoes—and skin—by sending his models out wearing nothing but accessories.
Mindu also shocked the fashion world last year by unveiling full-face headdresses built from real mice and rat carcasses, saying “It’s better to make them (the rodents) beautiful than give them to the snakes.” Sounds like the rurally-born French fashionista might have a Garden of Eden fixation, but so far, no tempting apples were reported as appearing at the show.
