The Internet sure works fast when sex is at stake—barely two weeks after a famed expert on “Teledildonics” (we’re still not making that up) challenged the technological community to come up with a Kinect body-controlled sex game, somebody has. ThriXXX software has hacked the system and created a 3D environment where one can fondle electronically.
In a statement issued yesterday, ThriXXX said “The Kinect interface provides another exciting interface option for users of the sex simulation software to control the experience in extraordinary new ways. Controller-free is the next generation of game user interfaces, allowing users to use gestures, spoken commands, or objects to control in-game action that creates a completely new sex game activity and magical experience.” Meaning essentially that open-source software allowed the company to use the Kinect device with one of its existing sex simulation games—which may or may not be in line with Microsoft’s user agreement policy.ThriXXX acknowledged that it doesn't have a green light from Microsoft to move ahead with its Kinect-for-sex project..
"We do not have permission from anyone on any of this stuff, and have been using stuff from the hacker community to do a working prototype, following what [is] going on in that world," Brad Abram, ThriXXX's vice president of business development, said in an e-mail to CNET.
The company also produced a NSFW demo video in which a faceless man waves his hand in the air and makes computer-generated boobs jiggle for almost a whole minute. Technology is truly amazing.
