We figure we probably don't need to tell you this but we're gonna anyway. Though they are world-renowned for fairy tale endings, the Walt Disney Company did not predict the Royal Wedding. We're sorry to burst your bubble, but it's true.
We were a little perplexed to see the headline ourselves. And only slightly less so when we saw where it was from. Can there really be people out there who think Disney's psychic? Is someone channeling Walt from the great beyond? And which of the half dozen (or so) fairy tale weddings are they calling “prophetic”?
Why, Cinderella's, of course.
The newest chain of “Let's see if we can pull one over on the general public” emails includes photos from the Royal Wedding side by side with (doctored) freeze frames of Disney's Cinderella. In one, Cinderella's been made a brunette to match Kate, and Prince Charming's clothes have been made red with a blue sash like William's Irish Guards. In another, Drizella was given blond hair and a pink dress to match Princess Beatrice and Anastasia was given brown hair and a blue dress to match Princess Eugenie.
The answer, it seems, is yes! The chain-starter can pull one over on the general public. How do we know? It's such a confusing issue, there's a Snopes.com article.
