Aww. Poor MTV News. James Franco, they say, is a liar, liar, pants on fire and he hurt their poor little feelings.

Apparently, last year MTV News was at the Toronto International Film Festival chatting Mr. Franco up about the sex tape rumors spreading all over the news, and Franco told them he just wasn't the sex tape type.

“I don't document certain activities in my life,” Franco is said to have told MTV News. But then, they say, Franco went on Conan O'Brian’s show Tuesday and told a different story.

“It's not like I went down to Van Nuys and tried to break into the porn industry,” Franco told O'Brian. “I got a video camera, and my girlfriend and I decided to film ourselves, and watched it back and said, ‘Yeah, let's never watch that again.’”

But see, here's the thing. We've all known about this since January. Where've you been, MTV News? Maybe you should call yourselves Yesterday's News, seeing as you're a little behind on the times and you've long since dropped the music.
