Coordinated in several cities across the nation, the annual topless event corresponded with the anniversary of the 19th Amendment, and drew over 200 people to Venice Beach to speak their minds about imbalanced bikini laws. Permits were issued for the protests and participants were required to cover nipples with tape and makeshift pasties. (See today’s in-person report from SexIs correspondent Renee Veronica Lucas.)
Camcorders and camera phones were whipped out in order to take snapshots of the protesters’ naked civil disobedience, but as protester Kat Kaplan, shouted: “It’s not just about taking pictures. You’ve got to back the cause and wear a bikini top, men!” Free your breasts and free your mind?
In other news of the mind, the biography, A Complicated Man: The Life of Bill Clinton as Told by Those Who Know Him, contains statements from NPR reporter Nina Totenberg, who exposes the inner workings of sax-y Bill’s mind. Apparently, when it came to l’amour physical, the savvy politician had “the mentality of an 18-year-old.”
During the now-famous deposition, Clinton was not entirely honest about not having sex with Monica Lewinsky, and when the truth came out Republicans were “frustrated” that there wasn’t more public outrage. They thought the Clintons were “wizards who had somehow enchanted America out of its moral moorings,” as Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) said. Ah, that hoodoo that you do so well, Bill.
And in other hoodoo, according to Spencer Pratt’s tweeting, he’s so confident in his planned release sex tape with Heidi Montag that he: “Promises you the Citizen Kane of sex tapes. Honestly, Orson Welles makes a guest appearance.”
The reality TV star couple’s recent divorce is heralded by Pratt’s releasing of the sex tape to porn giant Vivid Entertainment—and a number of “FU!!!” tweets from Montag herself, making it a little War of the Worlds.
